Community Guidelines
2025 Climate Connect Community Guidelines
Climate Connect is the UK’s first platform that brings together community-shared insights on climate and nature interactions with politicians—connecting people and making parliamentary updates easily available to local communities.
Because Climate Connect is powered by individuals across the UK from a culmination of crowdsourced data, this document sets out the guidelines for usage of the platform. If you create a login for Climate Connect you agree to abide by the below guidelines.
Why Do We Have Community Guidelines?
Our community guidelines ensure that Climate Connect remains a trusted, respectful, and productive platform. By outlining expectations and setting boundaries, we aim to:
- Encourage constructive and respectful interactions.
- Promote the sharing of accurate, actionable, and useful data.
- Protect the integrity of the platform and its users.
- Enable meaningful connections between individuals, communities, and policymakers.
Expected Usage/Behaviour

We are committed to addressing violations fairly and transparently.
Additional Guidelines for Politicians and Officials
Politicians and public officials engaging with Climate Connect are expected to maintain transparency, honesty, and respect when responding to community submissions or sharing updates. They should adhere to the same standards of respect and constructive engagement as community members.
Keeping Climate Connect Safe and Effective
